Universities of Al Fashir and Zalingei host Taadoud II dissemination events

In January 2022, the research teams from the Universities of Al Fashir (North Darfur, Sudan) and Zalingei (Central Darfur, Sudan) hosted events at their universities. The research teams shared their findings on the field studies that they conducted under the Taadoud II project.

The University of Al Fashir hosted approximately 30 people from government, local NGOs, international NGOs, and the communities that participated in the study. The team introduced and reviewed the findings from its study, “The Role of Community-Based Natural Resource Management Mechanisms in Sustainable Livelihoods in North Darfur.”  Workshop participants actively participated and gave feedback about the findings and how they can be useful to their organizations. The study and workshop were led by Abubakr Siam.

The University of Zalingei hosted approximatley 20 people government, local NGOs, international NGOs, and the communities that participated in the study. The team introduced and reviewed the findings from its study, “Role of Native Administration in Integrated Natural Resource Management and Conflict Resolution in Central Darfur State, Sudan.” Workshop participants actively participated and gave feedback about the findings and how they can be useful to their organizations. The study and workshop were led by Musa Adam Ismail.
