USAID Nawiri researchers hold workshops on malnutrition in Kenya
A team from Tufts University and Kenyatta University conducted a series of dissemination workshops on the USAID Nawiri Longitudinal Study, “The seasonality of child acute malnutrition and its drivers in Marsabit and Isiolo Counties.”
The workshops took place on February 12, 2024 in Isiolo County, Kenya and February 14, 2024 in Marsabit County, Kenya, and were attended by senior-level county government representatives.
Co-principal Investigator Helen Young and study coordinator Achiba Gargule led the Tufts University team, joined by Co-PI Professor Sophie Ochola and researcher Elijah Odundo from Kenyatta University.
At the workshops, the team presented two posters and an infographic on the adapted malnutrition conceptual framework, which they donated to the County Governor’s Office, the Ministry of Livestock, and Ministry of Health.
