In a recent book review published with the International Feminist Journal of Politics, Roxani Krystalli reflected on how the study of violence theoretically, methodologically, and empirically engages with silences. Reviewing Jane Parpart and Swati Parashar’s new volume, Rethinking Silence, Voice, and Agency in Contested Gendered Terrains, Roxani asked: Who is allowed to speak?
