Roxani Krystalli publishes book review on silence in international relations

September 2019
In a recent book review published with the International Feminist Journal of Politics, Roxani Krystalli reflected on how the study of violence theoretically, methodologically, and empirically engages with silences. Reviewing Jane Parpart and Swati Parashar’s new volume, Rethinking Silence, Voice, and Agency in Contested Gendered Terrains, Roxani asked: Who is allowed to speak? Whose speech is privileged over others? Which voices do we hear loudest? Whose silences do we interpret as meaningful? Read the full review here.
