Dyan Mazurana discusses ways to prevent sexual violence in war on PRI’s The World

Dyan Mazurana talked with Marco Werman on PRI’s The World on the second anniversary of Boko Haram’s abduction of 276 girls from the Chibok School dormitory in Nigeria. She describes the experience that women and girls who are targeted during war often face, explains why sexual violence is used in conflict, dispels some myths about sexual violence, and discusses some ways to prevent targeted sexual violence during war.
