In this first installment of the series, Key Findings and Recommendations from “Early Warning and Early Action for Increased Resilience of Livelihoods in IGAD Region,” Dan Maxwell and Erin Lentz present the findings of the study on Early Warning and Early Action in the IGAD Region. Greg Gottlieb moderates the Q&A. We also hear from Senait Regassa (Embassy of Sweden in Addis Ababa); Cyril Ferrand (FAO); and Abdi Jama (IGAD). In four invitation-only follow up meetings, donors, early warning technical staff, and government decision-makers review and validate the recommendations from the study. FAO and IGAD will use the outcomes from the meetings to move forward with implementation.
