Mazurana, Gordon and Van Leuven preview book chapter on gender and ISIL
Dr. Dyan Mazurana, FIC’s Research Director on Gender, Youth, and Community, along with Researcher Rachel Gordon and Dallin Van Leuven, have authored a series of blog posts previewing their latest book chapter on gender and ISIL. The chapter is titled “Analysing Foreign Females and Males in the Islamic State in the Levant (ISIL) through a Gender Perspective,” and it will appear in Foreign Fighters under International Law and Beyond (, (ASSER/Springer Verlag), edited by Andrea de Guttry, Francesca Capone and Christopher Paulussen.
