Roxani Krystalli receives award at International Studies Association Conference

Roxani Krystalli was awarded the “Best Blog” award in the individual category for her writing on Stories of Conflict and Love at the International Studies Association annual meeting in Toronto, Canada in March of 2019. On this blog, which she has been running since 2009, Roxani writes about feminism, narratives of violence, memory and loss, the ethics and dilemmas of fieldwork in conflict-affected areas, as well as concepts of home and migration.

She also presented her research in Colombia, where she discussed the ethics of narrating suffering and was a discussant on two panels related to humanitarian action and transitional justice at the conference. Additionally, Roxani attended a pre-conference workshop on mentoring women in academia.
