Kimberly Howe receives APSA book award

Authors Dipali Mukhopadhyay and Kimberly Howe have received the American Political Science Association (APSA) 2024 Human Rights Section Best Book runner-up award for their book, Good Rebel Governance.

The APSA supports excellence in scholarship and teaching and informed discourse about politics, policy and civic participation. The Human Rights Section presents an award annually for the best human rights-themed book.

Good Rebel Governance: Revolutionary Politics and Western Intervention in Syria examines how governing authority arises and evolves during violent conflict and whether foreign intervention can cultivate insurgent rule.

Published in 2023, the book is available from Cambridge University Press.
