Hafiz Adam presents study findings to West Darfur ministry representatives
On May 14, 2018, Hafiz Adam presented results from the endline study of the Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED) program to 16 representatives from state government in West Darfur, Sudan. The study found an increase in food security and a decrease in child health indicators (including wasting and rate of illness). Ministry representatives explained that they believe that in this area child health largely affected by water, sanitation, hygiene, and food quality, not simply on the quantity of food. Each ministry will use the findings to inform their own interventions in West Darfur, particularly to improve water, hygiene, and food quality efforts.
