Erin Coughlan de Perez presented on the use of “AI for Disasters” at the Mozilla Festival, covering both the opportunities for the use of AI in forecasting disasters as well as the pitfalls and potential biases in such an approach. Coughlan de Perez also presented on a panel for the Istanbul Innovation Days of United Nations Development Programme, commenting on “climate futures” and the role of the humanitarian and development sectors to reduce risk in a changing climate.
