Hussein Sulieman Participated in Climate Change Adaptation in Africa Workshop
At the Climate Change Adaptation in Africa Workshop in Italy, Hussein Sulieman presented recent work about changing livestock mobility patterns in Sudan and how that is affecting communities and the environment. The Workshop’s theme was “Enhancing IFAD’s Evidence-informed Country Strategic Opportunities Programs and Projects in Design and Technical Advisory Supports to Adapt to Climate Change in West and Central Africa” and was jointly organized by the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The aim of the workshop was to facilitate the cooperation between IFAD and Research Institutes/Academia in the area of climate-resilient agriculture, with the objective of discussing and sharing experiences on climate change and integration of research into development strategies. The participants of the workshop were from 15 countries (Sudan, Niger, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Benin, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire, Senegal, Nigeria, and Italy).
