Feinstein’s original mission was to address the challenge of famine. Today, we remain focused on this work by examining the intersection of world hunger and humanitarian crises, where famine and other food and nutrition emergencies arise.
After decades of progress, the risk of famine has returned as a major global concern, and Feinstein researchers are thought leaders in renewed efforts to understand and prevent these crises. Our mission is to protect and strengthen the lives, livelihoods, and dignity of people affected by or at risk of hunger or humanitarian crises.
