Women’s lives in northern Uganda have been shaped by the decades-long war between the government of Uganda and the rebel Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA). The war stopped a decade ago, but the effects continue to reverberate in the lives of women. Their stories illuminate what continues to hold them back and what must be transformed to enable northern Uganda and its women to move forward.
