On April 18^th, Merry Fitzpatrick was a panelist at the Post-Hurricane Caribbean: Response and Recovery discussion hosted by the Fletcher Human Rights Project and the Fletcher Humanitarian Action Society. She was joined on the panel by Adlai Murdoch, Director of Africana Studies; Daniele Lantagne, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering; Mieke van der Wansem, Center for International Environmental and Resource Policy; and Chris Farrand, Salvation Army.

The panel discussed the basics of how response in general is structured, the unique aspects to the response in the Caribbean, some of the struggles particular to the responses of this last hurricane season and difficulties responding on islands, and the dos and don’ts for individuals who want to support the recovery.
