Helen Young shares evaluation expertise at humanitarian assistance workshop

The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) sponsored Helen Young, FIC Research Director for Nutrition, Livelihoods, and Conflict,  to provide her evaluation expertise during their  Thematic Window 6 Workshop (Acute Malnutrition) in Rome from September 22-23, 2015. The workshop provided nine research and operational teams the opportunity to gather feedback on impact studies related to prevention and treatment of moderate acute malnutrition that were funded by DFID and USAID.

To kick off the workshop, Dr. Young joined an expert panel including Andrew Seal, University College London, Beza Tesfaye, Mercy Corps, and Lynnda Kiess, World Food Program. The panelists discussed the value of impact evaluations in humanitarian contexts by sharing their experiences.

For the remainder of the workshop, Dr. Young facilitated sessions and provided feedback as the research teams presented their work.
