Helen Young Presents Experiences in Sudan at Conference on Drylands

Helen Young presented at a workshop on Conflict-Environment Links in Dryland Regions on February 12, 2018.  The workshop explored the direct and indirect environmental impacts of conflict in dryland regions and to participants discussed pathways for building socio-ecological resilience to environmental degradation during- and post-conflict. Helen highlighted her work in Sudan. In particular, she talked about strategies for building resilience to environmental impacts during and post- conflict. Other speakers discussed topics including the environmental impacts of conflict, social and political impacts of conflict, and climate as a driver of conflict.
