Hackathons to forecast famine highlighted by Tufts Now

Can more accurate models of famine, supported by historical data and the most up-to-date tracking tools, lead to better predictions and save more lives?

As part of the Forecasting Famine and Food Crises project, Paul Howe and Elena Naumova have hosted a series of hackathons in early 2023 to answer these questions. In May 2023, Tufts Now featured these events and what they are achieving.
