Foreign Fighters under International Law and Beyond is a collection of contributions from outstanding experts in the field  that tackles the important and underexplored phenomenon of foreign fighters.

Dallin, Dyan, and Rachel contributed the chapter “Analysing the Recruitment and Use of Foreign Men and Women in ISIL through a Gender Perspective.” This chapter focuses on gender in its analysis of ISIL recruitment strategies and the experiences of males and females upon entering ISIL. The insights are important for counter-terrorism and anti-radicalisation efforts.
