Additional funding awarded to AKLDP by USAID Ethiopia

The Agriculture Knowledge, Learning, Documentation and Policy Project (AKLDP) has been awarded $730,000 by USAID Ethiopia to continue its work providing collaborative learning and coordination support across the USAID Feed the Future portfolio. With this funding, in addition to the initial $8.5 million USAID contract received in April 2014, the AKLDP team will provide coordination support and conduct real-time analyses, evaluations, and reviews.

The AKLDP works with the government of Ethiopia (GoE), aid donors, USAID, and local universities and research institutes to improve agriculture, livestock, and pastoral policy, and programming. The evidence gathered by the Project will be used to guide improvements to programming and to support development policies and strategies, particularly those geared towards assisting poorer households to benefit from various agricultural growth programs.
