Mark Ward will discuss the promising yet failed experiment to work with Russia to improve aid deliveries to besieged Syrian communities, and his concerns about Syria’s future. Mr. Ward is a retired U.S. diplomat who spent four years on the Turkish-Syrian border managing U.S. aid for the Syrian Opposition. He also spent 18 months in Geneva co-chairing a task force with Russia to improve humanitarian access inside Syria.
