This event takes a step back from the rush to invest in girls, to critically engage with questions of whether this focus is the most effective way to address development challenges impacting girls and women. Research will be presented on a range of challenges from reducing teenage pregnancy (see the SLRC report), to economic empowerment, to violence prevention.

Lisa Denney, Shenila Khooja-Moolji, and Dr. Natko Geres will speak, and Sinead Walsh will act as discussant. Feinstein’s Rachel Gordon will take part in the following Q&A.
