Margie Buchanan-Smith writes article reflecting on work with livestock markets in Sudan
Margie Buchanan-Smith, a visiting fellow at the Feinstein International Center, posted an article on the Humanitarian Practice Network as a reflection on her community-based work in Sudan. The Feinstein International Center collaborated with local organizations in Sudan to implement the Market Monitoring and Trade analysis program that ran from 2010 to 2016. In the article, Margie explains the importance of working through local networks, the project’s approach to capacity development and what can be learned from its successes, and from the challenges it faced.
