Dan Maxwell Participated in Panel at the Friedman School’s 40th Anniversary Event

 

 

On Thursday, October 18 Dan Maxwell participated in a panel at the Friedman School of Nutrition, Science, and Policy’s 40th anniversary event. During the event Dan was asked about the origins and history of the Feinstein International Center as well as the re-emergence of famines and constraints to dealing with famine. Other panelists included Christina Economos (Childhood Obesity 180), Alice Lichtenstein (HNRCA), and Grace Phelan (Francis Stern Center alum). The event was also highlighted by the Jean Mayer Award ceremony. Recipients of the award included retired Senator of Iowa, Tom Harkin; former Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack; the Center for Science in the Public Interest; and Mission Readiness.
