The Karamoja Resilience Support Unit (KRSU), in partnership with the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), commissioned the adaptation and roll-out of the Pastoralism, Policy and Practice Course. The training course has been developed and adapted in Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Sudan.
Representatives from Gulu and Makerere Universities, the Karamoja Development Forum, and the Center for Basic Research (a think tank institution) attended the third Training of Trainers Workshop facilitated by IIED.
The topics covered included reviews of previous trainings, polishing of the participants’ facilitation skills, the introduction of new material from the East Africa training manual, identification of new emerging issues, and prioritization of key policies impacting on pastoralism.
