Regional Enhanced Livelihoods in Pastoral Areas (RELPA) Program
This website contains materials produced by the PACAPS project between July 2007 and March 2010. These materials include technical studies, policy briefs, presentations at workshops and meetings, and training materials. The materials are organized into four main groups:
Developing the COMESA Policy Framework for Food Security in Pastoralist Areas
- Materials from the PACAPS capacity-building support to the COMESA Secretariat, including the draft policy document and training courses for COMESA and other organizations.
Promoting Trade in Livestock and Livestock Products
- Materials on regional and international trade in livestock and livestock products, including commodity-based trade and the COMESA Green Pass certification system.
Cross-border Early Warning and Early Response to Crises in Pastoralist Areas
- Materials on contingency planning for early response and cross-border early warning information.
Technical Coordination Support
- Minutes of the seven RELPA Technical Steering and Coordination Meetings, plus Participatory Impact Assessment training materials and reports.
