Evan Easton-Calabria discusses trauma and anticipatory action in Anticipation Hub blog

Evan Easton-Calabria published her blog “Anticipatory action with refugees and other displaced people: what needs to be considered?” on the Anticipation Hub. In this post, she reviews the need to consider trauma when planning and implementing anticipatory action for refugees and displaced persons.

Evan reminds us that “refugees are a population with high rates of trauma. Any actions targeting them, including anticipatory action, must take this into account.” She then discusses ways that humanitarian actors can build on trauma-informed approaches from fields such as psychology and health to better tailor their interventions.
