Sasha Chanoff acknowledges Karen Jacobsen’s support in launching RefugePoint

On April 6, 2017 Sasha Chanoff (MAHA alum ’04) talked about refugee resettlement and his experience at the Fletcher School during an intimate book talk at Tufts. His recent book, From Crisis to Calling: Finding Your Moral Center in the Toughest Decisions, explores empathy and compassion in leadership roles and decision-making.

During his remarks he described how Karen Jacobsen supported him to feel ready to launch RefugePoint, a nonprofit that provides lasting solutions for the world’s most at-risk refugees. He recognized her classes as the cornerstone of his education that helped inspire his future path.
