Roxani Krystalli presents research at International Feminist Journal of Politics conference

IMG_2431On May 18-21, Roxani Krystalli participated in the International Feminist Journal of Politics annual conference. The conference drew together faculty, researchers, and graduate students who work on questions related to gender analysis, feminist theory, violence, conflict, and peace. Roxani presented a paper titled “Gendered Victims: Masculinities, Femininities and Narratives of Harm in the Colombian Armed Conflict.” In her presentation, Roxani discussed the ways in which perceptions of masculinities and femininities in conflict affect who is recognized as a victim of violence, who registers a claim as a victim eligible for reparation, and who participates actively in transitional justice processes. Roxani also participated in the pre-conference workshop, titled “Decolonizing Feminist Knowledges in World Politics.”
