Roxani Krystalli participates in Global Women’s Institute workshop on research on gender-based violence

In January 2017, Roxani Krystalli participated in a workshop hosted by the Global Women’s Institute at George Washington University on the topic of conducting research on gender-based violence. Roxani joined researchers, practitioners, and policymakers who consider methodologies and ethical issues affecting ongoing research in this area. Roxani presented some key insights from an ongoing study on refugee experiences in Jordan, Turkey, Greece, and Denmark, as well as shared findings from the Humanitarian Evidence Program. She highlighted the relevance of the Lean Research framework for conducting rigorous, respectful, relevant, and right-sized research in vulnerable and volatile settings. Findings from the refugee study will be discussed in upcoming journal articles, while findings from the workshop will be captured in upcoming publications by the Global Women’s Institute.
