Karen Jacobsen discusses urban integration of refugees at the American University in Cairo

On March 28, 2018 Karen Jacobsen spoke to a packed room at the American University in Cairo as part of their Center for Migration and Refugee Studies Seminar Series. In her talk, “Urban Integration of Refugees” Karen discussed new research underpinning our understanding of what promotes or obstructs the urban integration of refugees across the globe. The talk was based on case studies in six cities in Germany, India, Lebanon, Serbia, Turkey, and the U.S., all from the Refugees in Towns project.
