AKLDP releases report on the impacts of the El Niño drought in Ethiopia

The Agriculture Knowledge, Learning, Documentation and Policy Project (AKLDP) released Field Notes that summarize how farmers describe the devastating impacts of the current drought in northern Ethiopia. The notes describe widespread crop failures, declining terms of trade, and coping strategies including out-migration to urban centers in Ethiopia and beyond. Click here to read the notes.

This is part of the AKLDP’s effort to produce rapid analysis of the drought in Ethiopia to support aid responses.

The USAID/Ethiopia AKLDP project is implemented by the Feinstein International Center.
